Reconciling Spiritual Controversy
Gaia/Mother Earth through Pepper Lewis - 2007

Can you help me to reconcile the conflicting information I read in a lot of today's spiritual material? There seems to be more controversy now than ever, and it is even more pronounced in channeled material. Wouldn't it make sense for spiritual teachers and guides to agree on common subjects? Isn't it important for Spirit to present a unified presence to those who are searching for a deeper meaning to life?

It is Spirit's job to offer you perspective and possibility, and while some subjects are factually obvious, others are fascinatingly obscure. It would do humanity an injustice for Spirit to agree or disagree on matters of consciousness. It is not Spirit's intent to create conflict within you or about you, nor does Spirit purposely set about engaging in controversy. Spirit approaches humanity in both direct and dimensional ways and true teachers seek to simplify life's complexities while encouraging self-discovery. The best teachers and guides are those who raise questions and then provide avenues by which you can discover your own answers, for only then can the journey be called your own. Conflict arises when there is a struggle between opposing forces, but Spirit does not oppose you or itself. Where then, does conflict arise?

Conflict arises in the mind, where a question once raised demands an answer and expects that one will be forthcoming. But an answer is not a resolution. At best it is a potential explanation that can lead to a conclusion as easily as to the next question. The etymological root of the word question, is quest; the solution to a question lies in questing, or in the journey of discovery. Journeys sometimes take interesting twists and turns as they wind this way and that on their way to more than one destination. What you call controversy is just a stopping point along the journey of self-discovery.

Your journey includes many different experiences and teachers. Each one has something different to share with you. If they were all the same you would only need one. The universe is vast and the dimensions are many. From within these halls and corridors wisdom reveals itself and emerges as multi-layered truths that are applicable, but not everywhere or for everyone. Your soul is not disturbed by the infinite vastness of space, or by the fact that a universe can exist in a vacuum as easily as in a molecule, but your mind is. Your mind would feel more comfortable if the universe were finite and it would be more at ease with one explanation for that which is and one for that which is not.

Your mind has two hemispheres, each one with an objective and a subjective purpose. The mind was designed to assist you to gather and process information and to discern truth, but the wisdom that you seek dwells beyond the reach of the mind. Conflict arises when the mind cannot reconcile more than one probability. Opposing forces create a struggle between the two hemispheres and soon a clash of ideology, principles or teachings results. Conflict is a psychological state, not a spiritual state. It is based upon the simultaneous, but incompatible and inconsistent impulses of the brain, the very same impulses that cause migraine headaches. Obviously, this is not the intent of Spirit or of any teacher who would assist your process of discovery.

The truth is, that there are many truths, probabilities, timelines, and choices. It would be unfair to present some and not others. Long, and longer ago than you can now imagine humanity was placed on a path of evolution. It's consciousness was guided to explore its origins and to choose the form its evolution would take. This same path has brought you to where you are today. The path has not been a direct one, because your consciousness has needed a variety of elements in order to expand, and these have been scattered across the heavens. The search for your origins has revealed many clues, some have been of great assistance to you and others have been dead ends. Dead ends are moments in which you must pause, retrace a step or thought, and then begin again. They are purposeful events and not misguided or misled opportunities.

The teachers and teachings that guide you today are designed to open the doors that have remained unopened for one reason or another. An open door is an invitation to explore what lies beyond the threshold. It can be accepted or declined. You can visit another country without committing yourself to its customs and a relationship in which intimate secrets are revealed need not change your own lifestyle. Consciousness is destiny lived one moment at a time. It expands in the degree and manner in which it is explored. As consciousness expands the mind contracts, collapsing judgment, opinion and conflict. Conscious thoughts will one day replace the mind's rehearsals, and original thinking will guide humanity's creative future.

Wisdom emanates from the All as oneness. Oneness then moves outward in all directions and dimensions without prejudice. It does not discriminate or determine who and what is worthy of that which Is. As oneness expands, it becomes multi-dimensional and multi-directional. Eventually, it reaches what you would call the high heavens and then the mid-heavens. These are the regions from which most of your teachers emanate, be they physical beings or non-physical awareness. The fifth through the thirteenth dimensions are loosely tethered to one another and allow a great deal of latitude. Within them are many planes and perspectives to explore, and within these are experiential truths, probabilities and timelines.

These realms are not exclusive to teachers and can also be accessed by many, including those who are exploring abilities such as telepathy and channeling. Distinctions such as left and right, or yes and no are not as specific here, nor are they meant to be. The future is ordered, but it is not ordained, and those who set about interpreting timelines must be aware of this. Here is where what your mind might find conflicting begins, for interpretations are rarely the same and while paths eventually converge with one another they are often divergent first. Because humanity is currently poised to make an evolutional leap, the differences seem more pronounced than they would be otherwise and the interpretations more diverse.

Although timelines can be viewed at a distance, their accuracy cannot be assured or assumed at this time. Given your concern, it is best to invest your trust in truths and timelines that support a vision that you would uphold. The deeper meaning in life is revealed moment by moment, and even a volume of information in which a substantial number of experts agree, would not change the fact that you will live the reality you have chosen, and not one that is chosen for you.

Trust your teachers and yourself to reveal a variety of perspectives to explore. Receive each offering with an open heart and mind. Delve into the realm of consciousness where your own discernment can distinguish the relative from the real. When conflict arises do not allow the mind to do battle with your teachers or itself. Instead, recognize how many concurrent paths might run parallel to one another, but on different planes and dimensions. Let possibility and perspective accompany you to the same dimensions and there align with a truth that is most expansive and inclusive of humanity.
