I know this question might sound morbid, but I can't help asking it anyway. Now that Saddam Hussein is on the other side of his physical embodiment, is he sad or remorseful about his life and how it turned out? Is there anything else you can tell us about him and where he is now? For instance, will he return to earth again soon, and if so, what kind of life might he be born into?
Your question is a sound one, and logical at that, given the circumstances surrounding this complex and curious being. But in order to be fair, both to you and to this soul, we must first explore a few related concepts that may help you to see both sides of the veil more fully. Truth be told, there is very little difference between life and death per se; one is a life with a body and the other is a life without a body. It is never really a question or life or death. Both are varying degrees of life, with the difference being the degree at which light ascends within an individual.
Death exists only as an experience of transition, a moment in time. Likewise, birth describes the moment that a soul draws its first breath within a specific life stream, consciousness or dimension. The dead, for lack of a more precise word, experience a form aliveness that those in body have temporarily forgotten; those in physical body experience time, space and dimension, as well as cause and effect, from a more linear standpoint. Dimension, an aspect of ascendant light, is the most important determinant, with regard to the experience one will have in life and in death.
By agreement, almost all earth inhabitants currently dwell in the third dimension, in the Common Era, as measured by the 12:60 linear time module. There are exceptions to this, and it is not a hard and fast rule, but for the purposes of this discussion we will acknowledge it as fact. Those who have transitioned beyond the reaches of their physical body are still influenced by time and dimension and some, as you may already know, find themselves trapped by it. For instance, what you call a ghost or phantasm is a being that over emphasized the importance of their life or their death. Unable to move beyond their self-imposed restrictions, they dwell in the here, as well as the hereafter, awaiting release by one means or another. To further satisfy your curiosity, it might be added that there are less disembodied souls upon the earth now than ever before, due to the simple fact that the third dimension and the Age of Pisces are coming to a close. In other words, enough time has elapsed that even the most difficult of issues might be resolved. Those who yet remain in conflict will at some point be swept up and enfolded into a greater reality from which they will once again emerge. That being the case, and in acknowledgment that there is no real or eternal death, we must further acknowledge that there is no real or eternal Hell either.
Hell, or damnation, is the most extreme separation and sense of loss that a soul can call upon or endure. All Hells are self-imposed and there is no exception where this is concerned. No being can condemn another being, nor are they are capable of doing so without consent. All forms of hell are no more than judgments by those who are unqualified to judge. With very few exceptions, almost all who dwell upon the earth at this time have judged and been judged, which is to say that almost all have experienced at least one form of hell, with several being the norm. The fault does not lie with the individual, but in the individual's misunderstanding of the indwelling non-judgmental All That Is. True divinity is incapable of finding fault or blame in another, because true divinity is composed of one-part love, one-part wisdom, and one-part forgiveness. Long, and longer ago than you can now remember this was the norm - but then came the great forgetting, the fall as you call it, and most still suffer the effects of that shadow.
As we have explored the concept of hell, it would also be appropriate to explore the concept of heaven and the realms it occupies. Heaven is not above Hell, though it is appropriate to acknowledge that it is a better place (or space) to be, all things considered. The heavenly realms are organized (not divided) by frequencies and octaves of experience. Unlike your current system of education, where one progresses through grade levels and attains commensurate certificates of achievement that open the next set of doors, the heavens are not blocked or locked by any means or device. That being said, each octave is complementary in nature and cannot be accessed by those who are not in divine complement with a frequency that is not aligned with them. In other words, where you go and what you do there, is not necessarily based upon good deeds accomplished while in body. Your frequency and your energy are as personal as your signature. It precedes all that you do and is the major determinant as far as your soul is concerned.
A specific frequency, like a bandwidth, can become increasingly clear as one nears its source or it can seem distant and distorted if one moves too far away from it. While most souls are guided by their will, not all are guided by divine will, which must be developed. In lieu of the laws of the divine, the laws of the mundane govern the thoughts and deeds of men. This is sometimes called free will, or direct will. The emerald tablets of long and longer ago spoke of this, but these no longer exist in your time and the translations that remain are poor ones, to say the least. The stone tablets of your cellular memory were substituted by the cause of (more than) one whose path interceded with humanity's path. These laws were not meant to be obeyed by all, and their origin in divinity would easily be debatable if humanity knew more of its genetic origin. In other words, the truths that one clings to are only as true as one's clinging. The harder one's mind is made up in this and other regards, the denser the reinforcement that substantiates that experience must be. A hardened mind is difficult to alter and a hardened heart even more so.
With this background primer as a foundation, we can now evaluate the entity in your original query, but here a caution as well! Gaia Sentience is unbiased where humanity is concerned-capable of evaluating, but not judging, regardless of circumstance or deed. The sufferings of all are heard and felt equally by Gaia. Those who inflict suffering and those who suffer have both contributed to the unique experience that binds them, and only they can speak to what brought them together. Murderers and thieves are as beloved to Gaia as the innocent and the heroic, for if they were not, you could no be, you must understand this. There is no exception to the rule of unconditional love. It is a universal law and a law that all sentient planets on the ascendant must follow. Many upon the earth claim to uphold this law and to obey it in its fullest, but to be earnest, few do. It is one thing to believe in unconditional love, and another to live it, extending it to all concerned.
In life, this being clung to beliefs that were heavily influenced by incomplete truths and unfinished moments. It is difficult to say where the first stone was mislaid, but a foundation askew cannot easily right itself and most often influences the integrity of the entire structure. Both man and mountain eventually succumb to the pressure of their burdens. History, as always, will remain behind to remind the future that the same fate awaits those who do not heed the course of the river that pauses for naught.
The perspective of this lifestream while in body was a unilateral one. In its own way it was not so very different than the perspectives of other past and current rulers upon the earth. He believed in the sovereignty of his country, but not that of his people. He came to believe that he had been imbued with a divine right, hence the right to rule divinely, or supremely. His mind, both segmented and distorted, saw a place in history for himself that looked somewhat like a throne, and he began to fashion himself after its model. Divinity does not translate accurately, dimensionally speaking. That which would be considered divine in the higher realms can only be experienced as supreme on the third dimension, at best. Supremacy is an authority with an origin other than in the divine. Divinity is natural and eternal, but supremacy is not, and therefore is not long lasting. A Supreme Being is a god, but is not God, do you see?
This being saw himself as a Supreme Being, as the father of his motherland, or his country's consort. As the supremacy of the land and its people, he also became its highest ranking and controlling military officer. A military officer belongs in the theater of war, so he created that, and then opponents to face-off against that were worthy of the course he set himself upon. Supremacy thinks of itself as sovereign, to say the least, and this being called upon such power as a nation could bestow. While a monarch can often call upon rule by heredity, supremacy most often cannot. This being therefore came to believe (and claimed to possess) the preeminent and exceptional power and influence of the god of his religion. The foregoing is offered as background, for this entity is but one of many upon the earth, past and present, who feel that their rulership (appointed or elected) is influenced and directed by other than human pursuits. That is the way of power and the powerful - the greater the display of power, the greater the power that influences and directs it needs be, do you see? Leadership, by contrast, involves the ability to guide, direct and nourish.
Beyond the level and discreet mind lies the Valley of the Lost, which is where this entity, as a man out of touch with his soul and his countrymen, eventually came to dwell. A valley is a long low area of land that most often has a river or stream running through it or across it. It is usually surrounded by higher ground that is more difficult to access, but affords a wide panorama to see far into the distance. The Valley of the Lost is where the Ego rules unchecked and unaccompanied by Spirit. In physical terms, it is the lowest octave within the third dimension. The Valley of the Lost is a desert with a mirage, or false reality at almost every turn. There are oases as well, but only Spirit can perceive these and partake of the clear water within. The Ego cannot see them and will stumble past them, even as it thirsts for the spiritual truth that would admit it instantly. Is this not a living version of hell?
One can emerge from such valleys forever changed like the Master Jesus, revered by humanity for this and more. Likewise, one can dwell in the deserts of the mind forever, for time is no ruler here and is of little consequence. The one of whom you speak dwelt here, and a part of him still does, for where does a man without a country go? Where does a man who believes himself as god go? Where does an empty heart go if not to the emptiness? This Beingness/soul that you (and so many others) have enquired about concurrently dwells in the fog of the astral plane, for one can dwell in many mansions, so to speak. This mansion also belongs to Source/Oneness/All That Is, for all things and places do and this is no exception.
From the lowest octave of the third dimension, one can only return to the lowest octave of the fourth dimension. This is not eternal and it is not a punishment, it simply the natural progression of the soul. Notes on a scale have their own progression and harmony is achieved in the yearning and stretching of a composer and his instrument. It is up to the soul to petition and align itself in ascent when its path has been cleared of the dross and debris that has temporarily blocked its path. This is not uncommon given the circumstances surrounding his death.
The death of this entity was not a sudden one, and those who were his guides upon the inner planes anticipated it. He was as prepared for death as one who has been condemned to it can be. He did not think himself deserving of it, and until the last few moments he even held the smallest of hopes that he would be avenged in life rather than in death. He wondered at the atrocities that had befallen him and his loved ones in the same way that those who suffered at his hands wondered the same. Life can only be viewed from the perspective one chooses, and all other perspectives must of necessity move into the background of one's experience.
A remorseful display is what the world might expect from a condemned man. Unfortunately, that is not often the case. It takes many lifetimes for a soul to learn in body what it most easily remembers beyond the body. This is one of the reasons that immature souls yearn for a quick return to earth, only to forget the original premise of their return. All too quickly, the density of the past pulls and tugs them down the spiral of descent instead up into the higher reaches of the dimension that has welcomed them. A soul is forever interested in its ascent through the heavens, for every soul is like a star journeying through All that Is in an ongoing mission of self-discovery and enlightenment. This is what brought this entity to earth to begin with, and he will journey from here to his next destination, be it here or elsewhere.
He is not a marked man by any means, and there is no blemish upon his soul that cannot be dislodged at a time of his choosing. Historically speaking, he will be forgotten sooner rather than later, as his contributions at the close of this timescape will be viewed as minor in comparison to those who will soon rise to stardom in the kingdoms of the power brokers. Can your remember your role as a tyrant? Can you remember whose life you made forfeit or whom you swore to meet in a purgatory of their choosing? Can you remember dining lavishly while others ate stale bread to survive? Can you remember a last breath or regret or a first breath of renewal? Which drop of water from the ocean was it that last fell upon your head, could you recognize it from the rest? Most of you could not. It is not so much that your memories have been wiped clean so much as that you exist upon a different octave now than you did then, do you see? One day it will be the same for this lifestream, as well. It is not that his life was inconsequential, or that he did not influence the course of many lives. To the contrary, it is the very fact that he did, do you see?
Every life is an opportunity to explore and discover what dwells within. Upon the earth, the third dimension fulfills this promise by the outward movement of the in-dwelling spirit. Humanity thinks of this as a purpose or reason for being. You do not require such a thing, because you already are. Your purpose was realized in your Beingness. Because you think that there is nothing to prove and nothing to search for, you believe that there is nothing to do unless you create a purpose. In other words, in order to fulfill what you think is God's plan, you go in search of the good deeds you must perform so that these will be recognized as such. This is not necessary as God created you in His Image. He created you because you are purposeful and alive in your Beingness, not so you would have to go find a purpose in order to feel alive.
Regardless of where and how you live and love upon the earth you will want to explore further and elsewhere. It is what gods do. It is what the gods who helped create your bodies did before they followed their wave of experience elsewhere. You will not marvel about your lives until you see them in retrospect. You will marvel at the generations that follow yours and encourage them to stop and delight in their Beingness. The words of the angels fall as echoes around you - distorted, hollow and distant. Why, when they are just beside you? It is because the third dimension is corded rather than chorded. Chords consist of two or more notes sounded simultaneously to harmonize a melody. Heaven and Earth now desire to be heaven on earth, harmonically speaking. Your spinal cord will evolve into a spinal chord, and the umbilical cord (chord) will evolve as well. The lower octaves of the third dimension cannot accomplish this alone, but the higher octaves of the third together with those of the fourth and fifth can do much.
Do not forsake those who dwell in the lower recesses of their minds and hearts, they cannot help themselves yet. Do not abandon those who point atrophied fingers at the mistakes of the past, but fail to see the same in themselves; they cannot see above the clouds as you can. It is a time for facing forward; look to where the light is directing your gaze. Do not pause to look at the misgivings or misdoings of others. Do not concern yourself with their punishment and whether or not it was fair or fitting lest you be the one that must mete it out or accept it in their place. One of your holy books speaks of one who could not help but pause to look back again and again. This was a symbolic description of a time much like this one. Eventually everything that belongs to the earth will be reduced or returned to the salt of the earth. Be not of earth in your thoughts and you will not need to be heavenly in your deeds.
