Dara wrote to say that sometimes she notices a shift in the Gaia communications. “Some feel very expansive, while others feel almost as if there is another entity entirely speaking to us”. Dara is very perceptive, as Gaia has many different messages for us. There is only one Gaia, but how vast is that! And Gaia is a multi-dimensional sentience, not an entity. A sentience is a planet’s version of a consciousness, phenomenon that thinks and feels simultaneously, but not like humans do. It is what allows Gaia to love, accept and have compassion for all things and all beings, without exception or favorites. It allows Gaia to witness perfections such as the extinction of some species and the emergence of others. Gaia’s sentience exists in every now moment, without gender or personality. Still, when Gaia communicates with us we feel it deeply, receiving the message into a variety of receptor centers within us. Our response to a message seeks a correspondence with its messenger; a relationship. Also, depending upon the subject matter, we are conditioned to receive and express pleasure or displeasure. In other words, we are accustomed to being judged, something that Gaia is incapable of. That being said, some messages do feel better than others, and some even feel as if they were written only for us, as individuals. I have heard from many readers who say that while they did not ask the question, they as may as well have! Many of Gaia’s messages are a response to what her sentience perceives within our collective consciousness. Others are the result of inspiring topics and questions brought forward in the some of the personal sessions I do. In over fifteen years of channeling no two messages have ever been the same, and some have even contradicted themselves. To this, Gaia has said, “Even on the same side of the street, shadow falls differently, casting a different light on everything.”

In the past the earth has has changed it’s relationship with its poles, so that references to north and south have been different than they are today. In fact, evidence suggests that this has happened several times. Bearing in mind the currents of change that prevail, many believe that we are due for another cataclysmic cycle that may shift the poles. I have not received a specific answer to this question, which is not uncommon. Subjects that raise fear and elevate stress are usually handled on an individual basis, in other words, it depends on who is asking. I have seen peaceful visionaries rise up in anger and disinterested scientists crumple in awe as questions that have been carried for a long time are finally answered. Regarding this question Gaia has recently said that most of the changes affecting the poles are currently taking place within the planet, just as many of our changes are also internal at this time. Gaia is also quick to say that a part of us knows our future and Gaia’s, as well. This wisdom switch, for lack of a better word, sees beyond sight or insight when our fear switch is turned off. As a clue Gaia tells us to locate the balanced place between our own poles. This is easier said than done (at least for me) but it helps to understand one’s axis, as well as where the axiatonal lines of energy cross. We are further instructed not to overlook the umbilical region, which corresponds to the earth’s equator, an area of tremendous potential and a source of constant renewal.

I receive many emails, letters and questions about illnesses and diseases. They range from mild discomforts with preventable solutions to life-threatening cancers and other ‘unjust’ burdens. I wish I could answer all of the mail I get, especially requests for Gaia to alleviate and explain suffering. It seems so unfair to say that we draw experiences to ourselves based upon the ongoing relationship we have with our soul; that all that we think and do is part of a learning process designed to help us grow, and that part of our purpose is to overthrow or overhaul any myths we have about who we are and what we are capable of. Yet that is what Gaia tells us, and so do other respected teachers I have heard (or channeled). Autism has sky-rocketed in the last decade, and so have other illnesses and diseases many of which are currently without a cure. Gaia has addressed these topics at different times throughout the many years that I have been channeling messages, but I hesitate to use this brief space for that purpose. I have found that Gaia is more specific in these areas during personal sessions, in which she can delve into a more personal background, as well as access an individual soul’s code. Answers, solutions, explanations and cures have also varied and have been less than generic. For the sake of this column I can only say that we are each courageous in our own way, and that I know there is purpose to all things, even when we disagree with the burdens we have bestowed on ourselves. Our current life seems severe in many ways and sometimes difficult to understand. And yet we persevere because something precious compels us to do so.

From Kat: Are we already in 2012 energy? There’s been discussion in the metaphysical community that back when there was no Caesar on the throne, they stopped counting the days and the calendar halted, and then picked up again with the new Caesar. Apparently, this totals 5 years in all. That would make 2007 plus 5 years = 2012. Is it true? And Gaia’s response: It is not 2012 yet. No, not yet, though it will be here soon enough. The theory you propose is an interesting one, and clever too! There are other theories that uphold a change in the calendar, and truth be told the calendar has been altered several times in the earth’s history. And why not? As you say, time is an illusion. That being said, it is an agreed upon illusion, meaning that 90% or more of the world’s population believe in and trust the current calendar. The more relevance an illusion has, the more real it is. Other examples of reality based illusions include the relevance of the longevity of the human organism, and the general thought that time is linear. 2012 may be a few years into your future, but it is available to you now. You may travel there and experience it if you like. Why doesn’t everyone do that? Because the years leading up to 2012 have a unique and specific meaning that many of you have ben awaiting for a very long time. Why skip ahead when there is so much to be experienced now? Reality is always the now that you choose. Illusion is someone else’s reality.

Dorothy recently posted the following question, and Gaia’s response follows: I read today that the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority in the UK has given the go ahead for the cloning of human/animal embryos for research, which is taking place in two of their universities. Can Gaia please comment on this development as this could have very wide reaching consequences for future generations. Your information is correct. And you are wise to wonder about future implications, as there are many. Those who perform research and those who fund research are often of a different lot. Each measures the other as necessary without approving or reproving them. There are a diversity of views on this subject. As research progresses and advances other opinions will join the fray, namely those of government and religious affiliation. Human Engineering is not a new subject, but it often takes center stage whenever life becomes more tenuous and uncertain. Already you share your world with a good deal of artificial life. The computers you share your homes and offices with are an example of this. No longer are they simple tools you could do without. Artificial life is something you do not currently perceive as real. Synthetic life on the other hand, is an approved of, or substitute reality. Humanity will soon re-evaluate what is real, which will engage dimensional thinking, as well as participation in multi-dimensional realities. Humanity is attempting to re-learn how to be a creator race. The implications are many. There are steps, missteps and challenges ahead. Although many believe that synthetic biology and human engineering are nothing more than a scientific curiosity, new viruses, pathogens and other as yet unforeseen difficulties await humanity in the near future. This polarized subject will fray the fabric of humanity, but will not tear it. Consider this comment an introduction to a subject that will be addressed again soon.

Tom T. also writes: I’ve heard that Gaia has another ancient name that she likes better. I thought it sounded something like, Inchata, but not quite. I was told that the translation meant Beautiful Being in the language of that time. There are many names that describe Gaia, some that are new and some that are very old. Different languages and cultures have different names and even titles for Gaia. There are names that describe the planet as a source of life, and others that have a heavenly, star-like quality to them. Some are not names at all, but emanations of sound. Gaia is not really a name. It is an appellation; a word that describes something without naming it. Names are beautiful, but they are limiting. Gaia recognizes us by our vibration and by the unique journey that each of us undertakes. It is rare for Gaia to address us by name. If you have ever attended one of Gaia’s seminars you would be impressed by how well she seems to recognize each individual. Names are a very human thing. We like some and dislike others. We prefer strong names as well as starry, heavenly names. We enjoy naming and renaming ourselves as we continually evolve and reinvent ourselves. Gaia does not have human feelings in this regard. She is content to be a sentience and she is content with whatever name we feel most comfortable with.

Tom T. recently wrote me an email that included the following comment: A friend of mine who is much more tuned in to channelings than I am said that he heard that Gaia is withdrawing and evolving. I think that is ludicrous, especially with the big shift coming. I think she will be here until the earth burns up in the sun one day. I look upon you as the Gaia expert and I thought you could be the final authority. I look forward to your response. There is a lot of information being presented on this topic. As I travel to different countries, many people are asking the same question. They also seem to gravitate to one end of the spectrum or another, reinforcing their belief or disbelief in the subject. To make matters worse, some well-known channels tend to disagree on this subject. My connection to Gaia is a strong one and I have rarely doubted what has been entrusted to me. Gaia is the sentience (soul consciousness) of this planet and always has been. It is not an office or a position where one sentience replaces another after a time. You have always been you, even when you have expressed yourself in the myriad lifetimes and choices that you have afforded yourself. It is no different where Gaia is concerned. Gaia continues to evolve and to grow in every moment and under any circumstance, just like we do. There is nowhere else to go. This is it. It is time for us to recognize that we are here because it is the very best place and time for us to be. Other places are not necessarily better places, though they may appear so from this vantage point. This planet is capable of creating amazing change and we are fortunate to be a part of that just now. Gaia feels just as fortunate to be a part of our change. It is a wonderful partnership; one that we can continue to celebrate.

Karin writes: Recently, with all the changes and information on planetary upheaval, I wondered if Gaia would just rather start with a clean slate…no humans. We seem not to have been the greatest guests on the planet. The question is to honor our host’s wishes. Well Karin, believe it or not, Gaia would not change a single moment. Gaia does not have a personality in the sense that we humans do. Gaia’s “sentience” consists of a mental body, emotional body, and awareness body as one. We have already tried starting over, but the results bring us back to moments in time like this one, where we learn that we can’t just throw it away and begin again. That is one of the reasons why this life and this time are so very important. We are quickly accelerating the learning process, which will allow us to enter into a time where solutions will become apparent. Recognizing that there is no real separation, we will restore our awareness. Our trust in ourselves will assist to trust the world we live in as well. While not everyone will see the same panorama or choose the same solutions, many will. Gaia knows this. She is counting on us. We are one in and with Gaia, and also with All That Is.

Robin asks, What can you tell us about Jupiter exploding or imploding? Could it affect our planet? Thank you for asking! That is a very popular question these days! While it is entirely possible that Jupiter will one day become a sun, that day is not soon. It serves a very great purpose in its current form and is very important to the solar system, to the earth, and to humanity as a race of beings. If Jupiter were to explode, it would change the solar system and remake life as we know it. It would affect every planet in this system, destroying much of life as we know it today. There is a great hunger for change these days. We all feel it and in our own way, we would all like to participate in that change. The earth and all of the other planets in the solar system know it. They are all sentient beings. There is a possibility that one day in the future there will be two suns in this solar system, a light sun and a dark sun. Perhaps this is how the rumor of Jupiter exploding came about. But that possibility is still in our distant future. We may have to ask the question again in our future lives! There is life everywhere and in everything. Along with the desire for change, it is very important to uphold and celebrate life. Perhaps this is more important now than ever.

Happy New Year! I celebrate the new year with you. For many it will be a feasting year, meaning that it will be the rewarding culmination of what you have invested in this life. Remember that as you ‘reap your rewards’ you must also plant new seeds so that they too, can grow. This year will also be a mirror year, reminding you to look for the illusion with the reality and the reality within the illusion. You will see that they look very similar, because the eyes are easily tricked. Look deeply (within) and you will see much more than you ever have. In the past when I have said, look within, many assume that I am referring to meditation. I am not. In order to look within, reverse the polarity that tells you what is always real. Allow some of the belief systems their time of rest, especially those that are based upon the near future. Belief systems are dense, and when you rely upon them too heavily you must carry them with you everywhere you go. Let yourself feel lighter as 2008 begins to unfold. It will be a creative and inspiring year. It is an excellent year to begin new projects. And here a word of caution: If you have struggled for many years with a project or an idea without success, you may want to set it aside for a time in favor of a new one. You can revisit this one a little later in the year and see if it looks or feels different. This suggestion is meant to enliven the project and to allow it to partake of the new energies of 2008. You might notice that while your watchful eye is turned elsewhere, it begins to remake itself into something much better. Be watchful for what I will call the expanding moment this year; that which cannot be measured and is ever-changing. How can you find it? It is the part of you that is just on the verge of being a little out of control. Sometimes it will feel a little like anxiety and sometimes like a sweetness that is just out of reach. It is creative and elemental. It is one part instinct, one part wisdom, and one part artful living. Happy New Year!
